STOP the Bombing - FEED the People These are times that try one's soul and begs us to see life from a higher viewpoint. What is the highest view you can look at the current world from? What you see from this view will be your highest purpose for living on the planet. Can you see as far as your family? your community? your country? the world? Then ask yourself, is this the best I can do? Is this the best I can do for humanity and life on the planet? Can I see the world from yet a higher view?
In my lifetime there have been many wars in the world. Although all wars have some axioms, each war offers a uique twist to our human family. This nameless war against a faceless enemy is different. The end will be difficult to determine and its effects upon our psyches and civil rights will be long lasting. In extraordinary times we are asked to to do extraordinary things and make extraordinary changes. I pray that the changes in our lives support a more noble human being with stronger convictions to do what is right for the world. I do understand the question of life enough to see that this war is a wake-up call for all of us to want to live the life of the true human being. This is the best way to end this war and the only salvation from it.
The memorial to honor the deaths from the attack on 911 in Seattle was an uplifting outpouring of the human spirit. Prayers, thoughts, deeds helped hundreds of thousands grieve the experience. The day was patriotic but mostly human beings showing that they care for life on the planet. There was no talking but many written words; on the walls, on signs, on printouts. Most that I saw were wanting peace, none called for war.
A Prayer "Anyway, after we go out and work our hearts out, after you go out and help us turn out the vote, after we've convinced the good Americans to vote, and while they're at it, pull that old George W. lever, if I'm the one, when I put my hand on the Bible, when I put my hand on the Bible, that day when they swear us in, when I put my hand on the Bible, I will swear to not—to uphold the laws of the land." — Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 27, 2000
The spin in the mainstream media about the protests in Genoa is this, "Why are people protesting against globalization? What are they protesting about?" I say that these words from the anti-Viet Nam war protestor Daniel Berrigan, ring true today.
"We say killing is disorder; life and gentleness and community and unselfishness is the only order we recognize. For the sake of that order, we risk our liberty, our good name. The time is past when good men can remain silent, when obedience can segregate men from public risk, when the poor can die without defense." The words ring true today because they speak of the continuous struggle between the people and their rulers. The people speak out when their rulers are found to abuse their power and corrupt their ideals with injustice, poverty, oppression, and fascism. But the revolutionary knife cuts deeper in these critcal times when we face the realities of species extinction, cultural genocide and general madness in the minds of mankind. Thus the revolutionaries more than ever must concern themselves with their righteous vision for the world after victory. If not then the revolution goes for nothing and conditions for life on this planet can become more wretched still.
These are relevant times in history, and the people that have courage and heed the call to action will decide what kind of life we will be living on the future planet Earth, be they liberal or conservative.
Quite frankly, when I saw the Time Magazine cover naming GW Bush 'Man O The Year' I lost it right there in the store. The cashier said, "I have never seen a magazine in so many pieces." I can no longer remain silent while the world is handed to Rush Limberger and his tyrannous slandering palaver. There is a great deal at stake in the world. This is a classic tale of good vs evil and at stake is not only the American way of life, but life itself. Please join me and others in making this planet a righteous place to live. Speak out, speak loud and speak often.

BOSTON (AP) - American Airlines plane en route from Paris to Miami was diverted to Boston on Saturday after a passenger tried to ignite his shoes with a match. It appears that the shoes did contain some form of improvised explosives, C-4 in nature.
