     Ashcroft
"Dissidents give ammunition to America's enemies and pause to America's friends." - Ashcroft

Ashcroft - the US Attorny General,  America's Police Chief

What do John Ashcroft and Joeseph McCarthy have in common?
Take the quiz and see that Attorney General John Ashcroft has been sounding a lot like Senator Joseph McCarthy, infamous for starting the "Red Scare" of the 1950's, finding communists at every turn, especially in people who disagreed with his witch hunt.
The official definition of the Homeland Security Alert system.

John Ashcroft has been assigned the task of eradicating dissent and ferreting out resistance, and he and his secret police have been carefully monitoring all unorthodox or potentially subversive thoughts. This appeared to be the case in Portland when he had three non-Islamic men arrested for being what is called a sleeper cell. Their single crime was “planning to join with and give assistance to Al Qaeda.” We were told that they were thinking about joining forces with the Taliban. The detainees did nothing except THINK about doing something wrong.

At the time Ashcroft said their detention marked a milestone in the fight against terrorism. Indeed he is correct, the milestone is that now sedition has transferred from actions to thoughts. From these breaches of our liberty, America has been given a stern warning.

Watch what you think!

excerpt from the book Beyond Iraq

On January 28, 2002, Attorney General John Ashcroft announced that he spent $8,000 of taxpayer's money for drapes to cover up the exposed breast of The Spirit of Justice, an 18 ft aluminum statue of a woman that stands in the Department of Justice's Hall of Justice. I feel so much safer now don't you? We spent $8,000 to cover a bare breast, saving Americans from the appalling alarming, abominable aluminum alloy of evil, that terrible ten foot tin tittie. Whew, now let's get Bin Laden.

Is Ashcroft fueling the Holy War?

Ashcroft said: "Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity is a faith in which God sends his son to die for you."

There are an estimated seven million Muslims in America and some 1.2 billion worldwide. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has received more than 1700 reports of anti-Muslim backlash since the September 11 terrorist attacks as of May, 2002.

Here we see Ashcroft waving a document that is titled - the International Islamic Front for Jihad, A Legal Fatwa. Islamic, Jihad, Fatwa are all buzz words for a holy war and we see them all used in the title. If you want to fan the flames of a holy war just wave a report in front of congress while asking for more legal power to fight terrorism. Here it the transcript of his appeal to Congress for greater power to roundup more people -

Here Attorney General John Ashcroft asks Congress for expanded powers to hold suspected terrorists indefinitely ... and to let him seek the death penalty or life imprisonment for any terrorist act. The problem I have with Ashcroft is the PATRIOT ACT has expanded the definition of a terrorist act to include protesting in a riotous and seditous manner.

Several dissidents that I know have been falsely arrested and accused of striking police officers and throwing items at the police. The ones that were arrested last year are now on probation and have the word terrorist on their record. YOWERS! I would have to see that to believe it, but judging from the attitude of the military police at the marches their objective is quite plain - - the protestors are a threat to their security. We are at war.

Congress shot back with comments and barbs: James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., says he is sensitive to civil liberties complaints. "To my mind, the purpose of the Patriot Act is to secure our liberties and not undermine them."

"We are concerned about the way you have used your powers, the way you have detained immigrants," said Rep. Maxine Waters

Meanwhile Ashcroft has taken his campaign for broader powers to the people. Do we really need a PATRIOT ACT II? Is Ashcroft overreacting or is there a plan to slip in a totalitarian police state while the people are in a 9/11 post hypnotic stupor?

Portland, San Fransisco, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, and Eugene Police fight Ashcroft rounding up 5,000 suspects.

The article includes, "Balancing Civil Rights With Fighting the War on Terrorism". Will our police, our Congress, our Supreme Court defend our freedom?

The four levels of police that are in charge of controlling the people.

Level 2 and 3 police block the streets and corral the people. Once penned in the people are ordered to leave.

When the people discover they are blocked and cannot leave the police move in with pepper spray. They grab, they beat, they haul the people away. Pepper spray is banned in the rest of the world but is encouraged in America.

Levels 1 and 2 police wrestle with the people. Being arrested is not fun, especially when the court puts the word terrorist on your record and you are placed on probation, promising not to get arrested demonstrating against a treasonous government again for 6 months to a year.

If you do not behave the level 4 military police open fire.
